Because of the costs, we chose B&B. Absolutely loved them. Stayed in 2. Moose Gardens and Summerset. A little out of town but close to Kincaid Park. Lots of moose around. I also would suggest you figure out what is going to occupy your time in Anchorage for 3 days. You would also have the opportunity for some excellent touring elsewhere, if you choose to take advantage of your time.
