I agree..we are cruising out of Miami this time because we wanted something new for our honeymoon. But we live about 3 hours from NYC and 1.5 - 2 hours from Baltimore. So I love that we don't always have to fly to cruise.

You will love cruising out of Miami!!!! :)

Some of the trips I take now cost the same as in the '80's!

If I compare our cruise in May 2012 to my parents in 1980 it is cheaper! My parents paid $110/day/person not counting taxes. We are $100/day/person taxes/etc. included. And that is for an outside cabin (9202) on the Lido. The flights are about the same, so the cruise lines have done a great job keeping pricing down over the years.

If you compare it to going to Fl. or Myrtle BCH. or something it is a steal. We have also flown to St. Thomas for a week and counting flight/Hotel/Food/Entertainment it was at least double what we spend on a cruise. That's why even though the drinks have been going up, which it is everywhere, I think cruising is the best thing since sliced bread!:D
