Gifts Charge?

I want to order the High Seas Gift Set on Carnival.com for $82.95. When I go to check out, it now states that its $90.41 and there is a $7.46 extra charge on there, but it doesn't say anywhere what the charge is! Anyone know?

I didn't think they could charge sales tax on online purchases? Hmm.. I'm not going to buy something if they aren't going to tell me what they're charging me for :(

Some states are starting to collect tax on internet sales. California is trying to do this.

 

Call Carnival and find out. We are all interested as to what the charge is for.

Whats interesting is that the charge is 9% which is the sales tax for New Orleans, where Triumph departs. Maybe its because of the bottle of champagne:confused:

Going to call Carnival later..

 

Doesn't seem fair to charge 9% tax on the whole thing if its only for the sparkling wine (which is only $8.81 at Sam's Club, lol).
