Stroller, beach, taxi...??

I have never been to St. Martin. This is what I'm thinking of doing

Taxi to Marigot - walk around, eat a french pastry, grab lite lunch

Taxi Marigot to beach for a couple of hours to let the little one play (possibly orient unless someone has a better suggestion)

Taxi from beach to port to shop.

My daughter is 1, We will have the stroller. Are Taxis accomodating to strollers? After lots of thought and reading posts on the family board, we are going to bring the full size stroller bc our daughter sleeps well in it during daytime excursions

We don't mind carrying the stroller down to the beach, are we out of our mind?

beach suggestions? would like calm water, umbrella, and drinks.

Thanks...feel free to let me know if my plans are not feasible. I'd rather know now, then not enjoy the day.

I don't see anything wrong with your basic plan if that's what you want to do.

Beach could be Orient, and I would recommend Orange Fever as your stop there. A taxi could drop you fairly close. Orient has calm days and not so calm days. If Orient is not-so-calm, then I would suggest that you move next door to le Galion and relax at Tropical Wave.

Taxis will certainly accommodate your stroller. They might decide to charge your infant with a stroller as a 'person' when they calculate the fee, but that's only a few dollars.

When you say taxi to port to shop, I hope that you mean taxi to Philipsburg and Frontstreet to shop before you go back to the Cruise Facility. Best shopping in the Caribbean there.
