when do they close?

The bars close at various times. There will be one or two open late....til probably about 2am or 3am. The casino also has various hours. I think the general rule is that it's open while at sea, although I'm sure it closes sometime in the late evening/early morning hours. Every evening, you will get a Capers under the door of your cabin. This will tell you everything that's going on the next day and the times. Enjoy!!!

i noticed there is a bar in the atrium area. I was just wondering if that stays open late. sometimes on vacation i like to take a cat nap around midnight and then get back up and have a few cocktails out in the night air. then sleep in really late! all the things i never get to do at home :/

The disco is usually the "last dog to be hung".

They usually close around 3 or 4 am (depending on how many people are still there an actually moving). Seems like on my GLORY cruise this went on almost every night until 4 am except for the last 2 nights (tired puppies). :D

I am not sure about the bars, don't stay there much. But the Casino does close for a while each night (early morning) and re-open the next day when at sea. If you are in port, the casinos are all closed.

I can only speak about the Fantasy since it's the only ship I've been on, but I can you that the bar by the casino was open each night until at least 2:30 am(That's when I left to go back to my cabin and people were still there). Also, the casino was still open each night I left it- I left between 2 am and 3 am each night.

Also- the one night we were in port (overnight in Nassau) the casino WAS open. I think it opened right around dinnertime. When we came back from the Atlantis casino (where I lost about 400.00), we went to the casino onboard (around 11 pm) and played for a few hours. Heck, I actually won 400.00 that night in the casino onboard to make up for what I lost at Atlantis!:)

I have what may be an interesting story about "bar closings". Years ago around 1984 when my then wife and I were running with a wild bunch (all contractors and bartenders) we cruised the Mexican Riviera on the TROPICALE. There were about 18 of us, heavy drinkers, dance lovers, partiers to the end. At this time the last bar on the ship was the Lido bar by the aft pool. At 3 am the bartender announced he was closing up the bar. NO, NO, NO...can't happen. We all chipped in and tipped him about $200 and he locked up the register, the booze cases, but conveniently left the coolers with the beer OPEN (no way would this be possible today, I'm sure). It was 6 am when our wives came looking for us, sun shining brightly, deck hands spraying us with water from above while washing off the decks. We were junk, of course, but then promptly went from this bar with FREE beer to breakfast and the day started all over again. Oh, what a life it was 20 years ago ! I get tired just thinking about those days ! :D

Enjoy your youth, live every minute, but when its time, "surrender gracefully the things of youth". :)

I was on the Mardi Gras in 1983. there was a group of us young youthful partiers as well. Our Lido bar was the last to close as well. the last night we were all in the bar untill about 3am when it was closing. We gave the bar tender a bunch of cash and he gave us a bunch of beer(henikin cans) to last until the morning. We never went to bed. We docked and I went home and slept for 24 straight hours. boy was it fun being young. now it would take me a good two weeks to feel better. and thats if I could even pull an all nighter still.

thanks for sharing the great memories. it was fun.

r:) x
