What to do when the ship arrives at 1PM?

Sailing Carnival Destiny in October. We would really love some beach time, but all the resorts and beaches appear to close around 5PM. It is not worth paying the full day rate for only a few hours.

 

Any suggestions?

Money Bar has some chairs to layout on and they sit on sand, but it's not a traditional beach. They are open well past 5pm though and the snorkeling is supposed to be very good there as well. Its not an all inclusive however....

How do you mean it's not a traditional beach?

He means that the beach has a limited amount of sand, with some rocks. It is a mixture of the typical Cozumel iron shore and sand. It's a nice place to hang out for a few hours.

The shore is rocky and you enter the ocean via a set of steps; the lack of a sandy bottom keeps the water clean and makes this a great spot to snorkel from the shore. There is a sandy area with chairs for sunning and relaxing. The food there is good and the drinks are fairly priced. Good luck! :)
