From what others have posted here, he is "assigned" to the Ruby Princess.:)

Actually, Rui Salmonete is the Head Waiter in the Michelangelo dining room on the Ruby Princess.

 

I believe it came up once before that there may be 2 Ruis in food service working for Princess.

I can't tell you that, but the crew seem fabulous on all the small ships!

He is Maitre d on Dawn Princess out of Australia. Great guy. We had him on Diamond Princess last Christmas.

Thanks for reply. Do you know how long Rui will be on board Dawn? I'd like to sail Xmas/New Year especially, but anytime when he's on board is great too! If you sail with him this year, can you check please & post? Much appreciated if you can help as I have special meal requirements & he does a great job looking after this, unlike some others - he's great too!:confused:

Rui is currently on the Dawn Princess going around Australia.He was on the World cruise on the Dawn with us.:)

In case you're still looking, Rui is the Maitre'd on the Sapphire Princess, had Chef's Table with him this week. Excellent Maitre'd, looking forward to seeing him again.

Yes, we just got off the Sapphire yesterday....he was there....(he was only a head waiter when we first met him), he came over to our table on this cruise with a great big smile :D ....what a gentleman!
