barb-ottawa Posted September 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2011 Curious to know if there is any reason why the sailing of the Sun on October 29th is so much cheaper than the week before and cheaper than the week after? Any ideas why?
coka Posted September 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2011 Less expensive because for some reason less people booked that particular week and therefore it falls into a hot deal! If you do a pretend booking, more cabins are probably available on the 29th than during the other two weeks mentioned. I did not actually do this, but if you did, and you see more cabins available, then hence the reason for the hot deal. They want to sail full ships. Check out the Thanksgiving week hot deals. Years ago one had to book way in advance for a Thanksgiving sailing. Within the last three years or so, more are staying home for the holidays. Out of all the holiday sailings, Thanksgiving seems to be a very good value. coka
