could someone give me the names of some good restaurants in walking distance of the

Westin on the beach besides Coconuts and Casablanca

 

is there a mexican restaurant inthe area

Taxi should be $20-25. H20 restaurant is very good, as are most of the hotel restaurants. There are no great Mexican restaurants near the Westin...Sangria's is walking distance (south). There is a new Mexican place in the Sheraton about a mile away that I haven't tried. La Cantina on Sunrise just over a mile away is good and you can take the bus or trolley straight there. You could take the trolley or bus to Carlo's & Pepes on 17th St. There are lots of inexpensive casual restaurants in Beach Place, a 10 minute walk south of the Westin.

The Mexican restaurant in the Sheraton is very good but I'm not sure how far it is.
