NZ 16 nights December cruise (cabin question)

Hi All,

We will be sailing on Radiance of the Seas on 18 Dec 2011 to NZ. A lot of "stops" will be mainly sightseeing cruising. Originally we have booked a cabin (Deck 9 - Balcony cabin) on the right side of the ship, however we are afraid we would be better of swapping sides and getting a cabin on the left side of the ship for the better island view instead of the sea/ ocean view.

has anyone experiences this? and will recommend swapping sides?

Many thanks!

I would book the Port side (left) over the Starboard side (right) if you want to be on the land side of your itinerary as you sail from Sydney to NZ.

The way the ship docks in port can depend upon a lot of factors ... if you are worried about your view when docked, you just can't be sure which side will be facing the land. If you want to see the land when the ship is moving from port to port, also keep in mind that much of the distance traveled will be at night.

There are views EVERYWHERE. If what you want to see isn't on "your side", go to an open deck....360 degree views there! Even when docked, you aren't looking to open ocean....you're in a harbor and all views are fine. While docked, you'll most likely be OFF the ship!
