Legend 8/28/11 review... NO HURRICANE, with lots of pics (yep, food porn)

Do you remember if there is only one snorkel excursion that leaves directly from the ship?

 

One the Carnival web site they "advertise" Barrier Reef Snorkel with Beach Break" - which I believe is the excursion you did AND Geoff's Cay snorkel also as leaving from the ship.

 

I am leaning towards the Barrier Reef excursion after reading your review it is like we are made for each other!

A bit off topic, but what is that case your Kindle is in? Is it a Kindle case? Looks like its made to keep it dry. Was wondering how I would do that on our upcoming cruise.

While we were waiting in the Follies for our excursion to be called they called 2 other snorkeling ones: Goff's Caye and Sergeant's Caye. They called them and lead them down to the gangway, so I'm assuming they both left from there and not generally tendered in to Belize City first.

We picked the Barrier Reef Snorkel w/Beach Break for 2 reasons: lounge chairs on the beach and RUM PUNCH! From what I could find out Goff's Caye is lacking in chairs. I want a comfy place to be a slug! And did I mention RUM PUNCH???

I got that case from Amazon, just search for waterproof Kindle case, it was $15.99 I think, and it's great! No worries with sand or water splashing.

I was also on the 8/28/11 Legend cruise w/ my Mom for our annual "Mother / Daughter" cruise. I'm 47, she is 70. Your review brought back great memories. Probably the best cruise I have been on (8th on Carnival). Do you remember the group of 40+ w/ the red belly packs that hung out at the Serenity pool? They were......ummm......interesting :eek:. I don't remember you from the Serenity area but then we met alot of people and after running up the bar tab, well :D.

I think everyone on that cruise remembers that group! Loved watching them walk into the dining room every night - one night everyone was in pink, another night they were all dressed as nerds. And always with the red fanny packs! They did have a good time.

Thanks - I'm impressed with the fact that I was actually AWAKE during a sunrise!! Doesn't happen often on vacation. (I teach 2nd grade, I NEED a sense of humor! :D)
