katfam Posted September 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2011 Does anyone know which car rental companies offer a shuttle to Port Everglades? We are renting a car in Tampa and need to drop it off in Fort Lauderdale before our cruise.

Check prices with Thrifty using the Orlando Magicard discount code: 004M001010 Also, I think Hertz has an office with free shuttle at the new Crown Plaza. Sign up for Gold Club membership (usually can find a free offer) and can also get discounts with either Priority Club or Marriott Rewards.

katfam Posted September 13, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted September 13, 2011 Thank you all for the information. Booked a rental through Thrifty but have not been able to confirm if they have a shuttle. Worst case will be to take the shuttle back to airport and grab a cab to port.

Their location is right outside the port gates on State Rd 84, so a cab from there is much closer than from the airport. Also, ask at the car return, as sometimes at these near-port locations, they don't advertise a shuttle, but might take you over anyway (perhaps in hopes of a tip). If you specified returning the car at the Thrifty office on Miami Rd (comes up as 'off-arpt' location when renting), then there definitely is a shuttle. Much easier to return there than FLL.
