We are cruising in Nov. with friends. He is an avid poker/blackjack player. Can someone tell me what the table limits (I think that is what they are called) are? $1:00, $3:00, $5:00? Many Thanks.

The lowest table bet I've seen is $5....and they are raised on the 1 and 2 night cruises.

All the ship's casinos run Hold'em games. I'm not a Hold'em player, though, so I can't give you the details of the games.

Blinds are cheap, last cruise was something $2 and $3. It's no limit and the table takes a pretty good rake. Depending on the players, it can be fun or brutal.

The Holdem is BAD, worse odds than blackjack... Stick to that.

 

$1/$2 Blinds, 10% Rake every pot up to $25.

I've been on 3 NCL cruises, all times it has been this. And also every time, the players complain about the 10% rake and how Atlantic City or Vegas is way lower. With enough complaining, some manager-y looking guy comes by and comps everyone a drink. If you get lucky, in a single night you can get up to 5 free drinks!
