CapsR1 Posted September 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2011 BATHROOM without a second thought! I just like being nearby and always sleep on the side of the bed nearest to the bathroom! Just like at home.
StingRaysfan Posted September 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2011 The bed closer to the balcony or the bed closer to the bathroom? LOL... when my husband and I cruise it's only ONE bed.. :) but I usually sleep closest to the balcony... It's pretty much tradition that he takes the dressers and closet near the TV on that side of the bed and I take the closet and shelves in the vanity area. Haganwood Posted September 13, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 13, 2011 I always sleep on the right side of the bed, so whichever side that happens to be depending on the cabin =)
jdbmga Posted September 14, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 14, 2011 I always sleep on the right side of the bed, so whichever side that happens to be depending on the cabin =) Same here.
StillPooh Posted September 14, 2011 #8 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Facing the head of the bed, I have to sleep on the left side. The only exception ever is if the bed were up against a wall; I'm too claustrophobic to deal with that.
5waldos Posted September 14, 2011 #9 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Side by the balcony- or window, always.
lois106 Posted September 14, 2011 #10 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Left side of the bed, after 15 years of marriage. For awhile I needed to be away from the door in hotels, but finally got over that weird phobia. So it will depend on which way they place the bed. Only 60 days left to wait. Izzybeff Posted September 14, 2011 #11 Share Posted September 14, 2011 DH gets the bathroom side, I get the balcony side. In hotels, same thing, I get the window. Dh likes to be closest to the door too. I think it makes him feel protective!
nolababe504 Posted September 14, 2011 #12 Share Posted September 14, 2011 I always sleep on the balcony side!! I just enjoy waking up in the morning and looking out of the window to see the ocean and ports!! I always make BF sleep on the side closest to the door. Some wierd phobia I have. LOL. Rare finoky Posted September 14, 2011 #13 Share Posted September 14, 2011 I sleep on the left side of the bed regardless of the room configuration.
B and C Blake Posted September 14, 2011 #14 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Does not matter which wall the bed is on DH always gets the closet to the door. I have tried to argue the fact of sides of bed but it never works, LOL On our cruise it was perfectly fine with me because that gave me the left-overs of being closest to the balcony:D
itravelalot Posted September 14, 2011 #15 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Bathroom always. Not that I ever do on purpose, but now thinking of it I am closer to the bathroom everywhere we go. :D
Jimmy Geegitz Posted September 14, 2011 #16 Share Posted September 14, 2011 ilike the bed by the bath so we can have people over to party on the balcony. more room to move around if bed is not next to the balcony

whiskygirl96 Posted September 14, 2011 #18 Share Posted September 14, 2011 I sleep on the side of the bed farthest away from the door. So generally on the left side of the bed, just like at home.
I love my cat Licky Posted September 14, 2011 Author #19 Share Posted September 14, 2011 I apologize. I did not make my question very clear. What I meant was the room configuration. Would you prefer to be in a cabin that has the one (1) bed closer to the bathroom or closer to the balcony. I am currently booked in a cabin that has the bed located next to the balcony, but I think I am going to switch it to the cabin next door since that cabin will be reversed and the bed will be located next to the bathroom. Thanks everyone!
westview1 Posted September 14, 2011 #20 Share Posted September 14, 2011 You know I never thought of it. I would have to say closer to the balcony. But either way, I'm still on a cruise so it's all good.

Thanks everyone! I actually thought you were also referring to the room configuration. That's why I was confused about people's answers. I've only been in a cabin with the bed closer to the bathroom. I think I like it better that way. I want more "hang out" space close to the balcony, just in case it's too hot to hang out in the balcony.
