This is the restaurant in West End where we had lunch. I am sorry that I cannot remember the name but the view couldn't have been better!

I have eaten at this restaurant before, with my DH, my DS and his wife. We sat in the table that is over in the corner, in your first picture. What a BEAUTIFUL spot to enjoy a meal :)

Great review...I'm loving all the pictures! However, I have to disagree with you about Palancar! We go there every time we go to Cozumel. We love it because it is laid back and is never crowded! It's the perfect beach for us! But, we also don't go to snorkel, so to each his own! :)

Well it is a very small world. I live just outside of Shelby. I work for Cleveland County as a 911 dispatcher. My hubby is a Paramedic and he works in Patterson Springs some. I knew I couldn't think of another town named Earl in NC.

And I love the picture of the motorcycle. Hubby and I like to ride when we get the chance.

Way too cool! You live in our county - you cruise AND you ride! Howdy neighbor! :D

I loved your fish porn, food porn, towel porn, in fact everything you wrote in your review.:D

My DH and I are booking this cruise for October and you have me very excited with all your suggestions. We love to snorkel too. I'm not a strong swimmer and I also feel better with a vest. Your DH is a funny man. You review made me smile many times. Thanks for sharing.

Hello,

I was wondering what type of camera you were using, make and model, etc. I am crusing in december of this year and need to buy a camera that's worthy of all the money i am spending on this cruise lol.

We were using a Panasonic Lumix TS-3. A great little camera for the price! I chose it mainly because the Cannon D10 looked so bulky and I wanted a camera I could easily tuck into a pocket. I've been very pleased with it!

There is an interesting set of stairs to get into the Golden Fleece and I think I went up them during the daylight hours but when it came time to leave we started to go down them and it turns out that they are transparent – like clear glass! EEK! I am deathly afraid of heights and through these stairs you can see the all the way to the main lobby – from deck 10 to deck 2. I don’t mean you can see over the banister down, I mean you can see past your foot – 8 floors! No way could I walk down them!

YIKES!!! So how else does one get back down?

I turn around and start to swim back the the dive center, which is about 100 yards away, but looks like a mile to me. I stay calm, swim slow and get about 1/2 way in when something grabs my fin, I jump and look around , it is Martha, we pop up and she says, where you going. I am bobbing, taking on water and spitting it back out, She says take my picture,I think, well I'm a little busy right now, trying to keep from drowning !

OMGsh I am laughing so hard! :-)

Balconies are worth it for us. We like to sit out there and spend quality time with each other rather than fight the madness up on the Lido. But it is true, once you go balcony you can’t go back!

Holy crap! I didn't want to hear this although I expected it.

We usually book an obstructed outside but we are taking a repositioning cruise next month and the prices were so low that we booked a balcony. I'm afraid that we will be spoiled and will ahve to book balconies going forward.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

My first cruise I worried about how I was going to dress, stressed everything being so formal when in my real life - things just aren't that way.

Second one was DH's first one so I was stressed about how he would enjoy it, how he would fit in, etc. He was just coming off some chemotherapy too and was getting back up on his feet. (it went great in case you couldn't tell - I got him to go again and he looks GQ fabulous!)

This time - we are who we are. I am one who is happier and happier as cruising becomes less stuffy, less formal, less and less like the yesteryear of First Class Passages. Granted we wouldn't have cruising as we have it today if we hadn't had all those Grand Sailings and early methods of traveling across vast seas but just as mankind has evolved from most of the protocols of the early 1900's, so has cruising. I'm glad there are cruise lines like Seabourn and Crystal - those who choose to live a more formal lifestyle may still cruise in the manner in which they are accustomed and those of us who live us a more relaxed lifestyle have several choices too.

This post will ruffle a few feathers but there will be some who chuckle and say they agree. The latter are the people I want to cruise with in the future! :D

Well said and I totally agree ;) Love your review, hope to be on the Legend in November.

Monday night was the first Cruise Elegant night. It was also Lobster and shrimp cocktail night. I had two of both and Theresa our head waiter did put both lobsters on one plate and the sides were not doubled. WCMC again, wow that stuff is good!

The five itty bitty shrimp at the bottom of all the internet controversy. Hardly seems worth it, huh? They serve ones about 10 times bigger at the sports bar beside where I work for 50 cents apiece - and they have more taste!

Men in tuxes and women in long formal gowns is the minority. I mean REALLY, REALLY the minority. In my lowly humble opinion that is a good thing but it is ONLY my opinion and I am sure that yours probably differs. The first time I cruised less than 10 years ago I felt like I was the minority by not wearing a formal gown and when we cruised 3 years ago I felt like it was more half and half but this time I was WAY more comfortable in dress 24 hours a day! My opinion here is don’t sweat the dress – take something a bit more dressy for Elegant night but to be honest I didn’t even see that many suits. Most men wore nice pants and a button down shirt, some with ties and some without and I only saw one couple turned away at the dining room and they were both in very casual shorts and t-shirts. For non-Elegant nights I didn’t see anyone turned away and pretty much anything except swimming apparel was allowed in.

We went to the Adult Comedy show and I wish I could remember the name of the comedienne. His show was very similar to a Jeff Dunham show, he is a ventriloquist and his character was very funny. He picked on several of the audience members and if I have any complaint it was that the show wasn’t very long.

looks like an coolpix aw100 or aw110, is it? I have one and can't wait to use it on my upcoming cruise. Loving the review

It is a Panasonic Lumix TS3. I've been pleased with it for the price. Looking forward to using it again in 145 days! :D
