Emailing dining to request change-success!!!

We just booked a cruise last week and were given 8:30 dining and wait listed for My time dining.

 

Following a suggestion on this board, I emailed the dining dept and today I received a reply that we have been changed to My time dining!!! I am so happy!! We go to bed early and I was just having trouble with what we'd do and figued we'd just eat the buffet every night.

 

This changes our plans and I am thrilled.

I am new at this but did you want MTD to begin with? Couldn't choose that during booking or simply decided that MTD works better for you?

We ran into this same difficulty on a cruise this past July. We were scheduled for late dining and told that the early seating was wait-listed. I called once a week for two months and finally got change. Maybe they were tired of hearing from me!

How does this affect the gratuities? When you initially book and choose MTD, the gratuities must be prepaid.

If you have switched over to MTD, the pre-paid gratuities are payable in full at the time of your final payment.
