gottago2mexico Posted September 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2011 HI folks, I am wondering where the best opportunities in Nassau and Freeport for Jetski and Parasailing. Any reviews, locations, pricing information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. In Freeport, you can do these at Our Lucaya (Ocean Motion Watersports and O'Neal's), Taino Beach Resort (Lucaya Watersports), and Island Seas Resort (Paradise Watersports). http://www.oceanmotionbahamas.com/ http://www.lucayawatersports.com/ http://www.the-bahamas-watersports.com/paradisewatersports/index.html
tracyanns Posted September 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 27, 2011 For parasailing I would do it off of cabbage beach if you want to parasail near the Atlantis or you can go over to Cable Beach and do it there. (This is in Nassau) I am unsure of the company or the pricing, they are set up on the beaches there. Cabbage beach is a bit more rough than Cable Beach and is on Paradise Island near the Atlantis rather than on the same side of the island as the cruise ships... Both beaches will have jetski rental as well.
SteelerCruiser Posted September 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2011 As far as Freeport is concerned get off the boat and take a taxi/van to Our Lucaya ($5pp each way). Once there you can access the beach free via the Public beach access near the Police Station. There is a beach bar there selling food and drinks. Also along the beach you will find a little shak/stand that you can rent an assortment of water/beach related activities from. This is where you will find Jet Ski rentals. My Wife and I rented one for the both of us and it cost us I think $60 or $70 for 30 minutes. Believe me that was plenty of time. Not a bad price either. As far as safety you have to be careful and use common sense but we were comfortable with the situation and had a great time! These people are in business b/c of tourist so they generally want to treat you right so you come back.
