I am sharing with my Family Board friends :D I've always been closer with you all anyway. This is the FIRST TIME the fairy has ever called and it had to be with NCL! BLESS YOU! :D

I just got the call to go from an AFT Balcony to a TWO BEDROOM SUITE with suite perks!!! WOOHOOOO!!!!!

We are leaving on Sunday so you know I will return with a full review of our adventure. I originally turned it down, but then called them back when I looked at the reviews and saw TWO BATHROOMS! Oh yeah, that's more than worth it!!!!!

Review with pics to come folks!!!!!

And thanks to Michelle (who is on the same cruise as I), I also talked to the Upsell Fairy :D I got upgraded from an inside aft cabin to a mid-ship mini-suite! Did someone say PARTY on Deck 11?

Nope just a coffe maker

But I think you are allowed in the lounge on supersecret deck 15!

On the Jade the Steakhouse was open for breakfast and lunch only for suite guests and they had a special (really nice) menu. I would think that kind of thing is offered on all their ships.

Best,

Mia

The SC 2 Bedroom suites are awesome for families. I have been in these on the NCL Dawn and also on the Gem this past August.

We were in 11018 and had Roy as our butler. He was awesome! He really tried his best to be helpful to the kids and to us.

Enjoy your cruise :)

Hey Jim, you and I have to have a talk about Roy. ;)

WHAT did you have him do? I LOVED 11018, never wanted to leave. I want to move there. :p But as far as the the "suite staff" - seriously - I must have missed something. I didn't use him at all.

I've had suite attendants on other cruise lines pay MUCH more attention to my kids. Heck, I've had JUNIOR suite, not even full suite attendants fall all over themselves to interact with the kids. I was going to have a contest, the first one to name one of my kids wins a bonus. It was eery how little they interacted with them. It's not something we are used to. And on THIS cruise, we were expecting it.

Michelle,

Couldn't have happened to a nicer person! Glad to hear you got such a great upsell. That cabin looks dreamy. :)

However, sad to hear that the attendants weren't great. I had a similar experience on Celebrity Century a couple of years ago. Given that we had a nice suite I thought we'd get better service/attention, but it was horrid, even though we had 2 attendants and a butler! And the butler acted as though his skin was crawling when he saw my daughter. Worst service ever on a cruise. Our last cruise was on RCI and it was a completely different experience - most amazing attendant ever on a cruise, and she, as well as all the ship personnel were lovely with my daughter.

Thanks so much for the report - always good to hear about these things.
