How easy/quick would it be to hire a car for the time in port at Charlottestown PEI. We will be there Sunday 6th May 2012 thank you

It would be very quick and easy if you do it before you get there.

Check out Discount Car Rental at Brackley and the Bypass (near the airport). I have rented from them 2x in the last few years and they have always had the best rate and they pickup/drop off at the Pier.

Thank you to all for tips. we will be on the Massdam in this region early May 2012 and it seems that the Louisbourg fortress is only open limited , if any, time.Also there seems to be not a lot on the go at Gaspe ... boat trip to Bon Aventure for example. Does anyone know if fortress open?

You may not get too many responses about the fort as the thread was about PEI.

In Charlottetown we rented from Enterprise and they were great about picking us up at the port.

 

In Sydney, the fortress was not fully open to the public in May when we were there. However, someone on the cruise before ours went on the HAL tour to the fortress and they had the animators. So if you want to go to the fortress, do it with a HAL tour.
