Rare crewsweeper Posted September 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2011 Senor Frogs around the Caribbean tend to be big party bars with expensive drinks. Not really sure if the atmosphere is all that kid friendly. There is a Hard Rock Cafe less than a 1/4 mile from the port (inside the port the HRC is a merchandise store) which though expensive as well, is more entertaining unless your children like unintentional prantfalls and impromptu wardrobe malfunctions by overimbibed yard long and shooter drinkers. Better yet, take a taxi/bus to the malecon in mahahual and enjoy the beach at one of the facilities there. Tropicante has a great menu for children and adults and Moms and Dads can get massages on the beach for less $ than in port.

dwolfe12345 Posted October 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2011 The statues are in front of the bar, so you can still take pics on them. Like crewsweeper said I definately would not take my kids there. It is more of a 20 something hangout. Just imagine a frat party on Mexican steroids..haha I had a blast there, but of course it was just my wife and me.

kristapb Posted October 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2011 A lot of very loud and drunk people. The guy seating us grabbed my hand and put it on his butt! Ick! We left. We had already looked at the menu, so I would say it is way overpriced, besides. Take the shuttle into the village, it is much more authentic, friendly people, and better food.
