steeners81 Posted September 27, 2011 Author #26 Share Posted September 27, 2011 posters on the wall of the comedy club The comedians The comedians were really funny. It is def not appropriate for young children though So after the show we rushed up to the aqua theater to try and get good seats and we ran past a set of elevators and there was Alex the Lion from Madagascar. Cody insisted we had to stop for a picture If you notice in the picture I look like I wanted to bolt it is because I did. I wanted good seats! steeners81 Posted September 27, 2011 Author #27 Share Posted September 27, 2011 Here are some pics from Oasis of dreams It was wonderful, It was amazing...just don't ask me what it was about because I don't think one person on that ship got the plot. I had to laugh it started drizzling in the middle of the show and people were rushing out of the theater as fast as they could.

Rare Familygoboston Posted September 27, 2011 #32 Share Posted September 27, 2011 Love it!! You have photos here I've never seen before! Bravo! Thanks for showing your cabin storage- we have a balcony also and I think that storage near the vanity looks bigger than other ships, yeah! I use those cabinets for everything! Thanks for posting the Giovannis lunch photos. We have that planned and I wondered about the canolis. So glad to hear they are good; I worked for an Italian baker and am a total canoli snob. The shell was crispy I hope? There is nothing worse than soggy prefilled canoli shells...ick! I will absolutely show up there for a canoli to go- as I don't love the regular MDR desserts, and there is no Ben and Jerrys on this ship:( We don't plan on going to dinner on that first night, so hoping to avoid the mess! More people report problems with that! I'm sorry your surprise was spoiled. Can't wait to read the rest of your review.

steeners81 Posted September 27, 2011 Author #34 Share Posted September 27, 2011 Oh and just so you know I wore a pedometer for most of the cruise so on the first day I know I walked 5.97 miles. So we got up on the second day and headed to the windjammer for breakfast. On the way there I somehow got sidetracked by the donut shop on the boardwalk. I tried the strawberry donut with sprinkles. It was good…not great it tasted a bit dry. I think that was the only one I had for the week. I do know Codys family had the boston cream and they loved it so it may just depend on when you get it. So we raced up 10 flights of stairs (we took the stairs everywhere unless I was wearing heels) which was not easy to do while eating a donut. The breakfast setup in the windjammer reminded me of the majesty which I loved but it doesn’t seem to work for this ship with this many people. People were just jumping over to the next station in front of people in line. I realized I didn’t have any pictures of the windjammer as we were getting off the ship. Breakfast food Breakfast was good it was your typical breakfast buffet. I did like that there were waiters there helping you find a table. After breakfast Codys grandfather and mother wanted to zipline so we headed over there to watch. We were not sure if they would let him do the zipline do to his mobility issues but it was not a problem and he had a blast. Then it was off to play Bingo. Now I cruise to play bingo,I know its expensive…some people drink on a cruise I play bingo. The cost for most games was 32 for the paper cards and 55 for the electronic bingo machine and they gave you the paper cards with it. The first game of bingo was played in Studio B and Codys mom won. Woohoo good start to the week.

steeners81 Posted September 27, 2011 Author #44 Share Posted September 27, 2011 After bingo we decided to stake out a table so we could watch the rocking rhythms nation parade. Cody went and got pizza (the pizza is good on the ship but being from the NY/NJ area I am picky about my pizza) while I got some food from the café promenade. I had the egg salad sandwich and the shrimp salad sandwich the egg was good but the shrimp was fantastic. The parade The globe opened and a walkway came out The walkway Most of the pics from the parade did not come out. It was way to bright where we were standing with the light coming down from central park so I will spare you all the blinding pictures. After the parade I wanted to go zip lining again. We were told that they do not take pictures at the zipline on port days but they do on days at sea so I wanted to get my picture taken. Well that is sort of true. They had Cody, his mom, and his grandfather from earlier in the morning but my picture never showed up. Oh well. It was fun. After this Cody wanted to play dodge ball and I wasn’t keen on that (explain to me how people throwing balls at you is fun?) so I decided to go exploring. First stop Oh I was on a mission
steeners81 Posted September 27, 2011 Author #45 Share Posted September 27, 2011 But where was I going I was going to get the infamous roast beef sandwich. I heard how great it is, the best thing on the ship, you absolutely have to try it so I took a great big bite…and spit it out. I think I had almost all fat in my mouth not a very pleasant experience. But after I took all the meat off the sandwich it was excellent. The roll is delicious. I will say we had another one later on in the week that was a little fatty but once we took the fat off it was tasty. (Oh and that pic is not of the one i tried that one actually looks good) So getting over my disappoint I met back up with Cody and we headed to Trivia where we gave it our best effort and …lost badly. So after a bad sandwich and trvia making me feel dumb whats a girl to do… Yup got to get myself some sweets. I tried the coconut cupcake while Cody had the vanilla/vanilla cupcake ( he is so adventurous ) They were pretty good, the icing felt very heavy but I definitely would (and did) get another one. Plus they gave you a card buy 6 get the 7th free. That’s my kind of challenge Next off to Bingo for win a crown loft suite. Yeah we didn’t win but that’s ok I wouldn’t have wanted to pack up all my stuff again anyway hello my name is Christine and I have a Bingo problem
steeners81 Posted September 27, 2011 Author #46 Share Posted September 27, 2011 So after bingo we rushed to the room to get ready for formal night. I am one of those people that still loves dressing up on formal night. We had already pretty much decided we were going to buy the CD with all the pics so we wanted to hit as many photographers as we could. So off to dinner we went The menu tonight Started off with some escargot. I love escargot, one of my favorite things about celebrity is they have it every night

steeners81 Posted September 27, 2011 Author #50 Share Posted September 27, 2011 Bittersweet Chocolate souffle Sugar free coconut vanilla layer cake The escargot was great, seafood brochette amazing as was the shrimp ravioli. the souffle was dissappointing. It was a little over cooked, I do miss the grand marnier souffle.
