Labadee

We got up this morning and went to the windjammer for breakfast. Nothing special there same as yesterday. We had decided to ride the dragon tail coaster, zip lining looked interesting but seemed a little to pricey for us.

So we headed off the ship

And decided to head straight to the coaster. For anyone who has not been to labadee and/or has not read the fine print you only need to purchase one ticket for the ride if you are riding together.

Stopped to take a quick shot of the map of labadee

The ride was fun. Here is us after our second trip on the coaster.

Let me explain why we ended up taking two trips (it was another $5 for the second trip). I figured that with a ponytail in and my hat tight it would stay on my head. I was planning on video taping the coaster ride to show my family back at home and everything was going great until we picked up speed and I felt my hat start to fly off my head. At this point I started cursing cause I love that hat and the video camera is going every which way as my boyfriend managed to grab the hat. So I figured that was not the video to show my family so we went on it again and got a good video. So heads up don’t wear a hat if you go on the coaster.

So after our rides we decided to wander a bit before beach volleyball started

We headed up the area where the zip line ended. It did look like fun but we were ziplining in Jamaica…maybe next time

Then we headed up the the rocks. It is very cool to hear the dragons breath sound coming from the rocks. You also get a really cool view of the ships

I'm loving your review! I can't believe how much you walked- the 9 mile day!!!?!?! Wowzers. But then we just got back too and for sure it was the first time I've ever come home from a cruise with achy lead legs! I guess that's a good thing!;)

Keep it coming!!

So we headed off the ship to our excursion..ziplining with Chukka. They brought us through the shops to an open aired building where we waited for about 10 minutes then we were brought to an air conditioned van. There was a total of 11 of us on this excursion. The guides told us there are times there are 50 people doing this excursion which I would think would be way to crowded. We took a 45-an hour bus ride to the place. There we signed a waiver and got suited up with out equipment

The guides were great. You could tell they knew what they were doing but were also having a great time which made us have a great time. We had used this company (Chukka) last to go horseback riding in Ocho Rios and felt the same way then, I would highly recommend them.

So after we go all our equipment we hopped into an open aired truck that drove us about 10 minutes then we had to walk about 10 minutes to the first platform. Somehow Cody and I ended up in the front. The gave us a instructions and then we were off. Cody went first then it was my turn…at this point I was really questioning my sanity. I was trusting a line attached to a tree to stop me from plummeting to my death. But I stepped off the platform and it awesome.

After the first line. I call this our “yeah we survived” photo.

Me ziplining

Rappelling down

We did about 8-9 lines and 2 rappels. It was a lot of fun I can not wait until I can zip line again.

After we planned to look around the shops a bit but since there was a bad storm rolling in we decided to head back to the ship to grab lunch

Really didn’t want to be stuck out in this

Cody got the banana one. He said it was good I loved the banana runts on top.

We headed to a different type of trivia it was labeled as “who in the world am I” trivia. It was a lot of fun and we both realized if we had gone with our gut we would have done really well.

My 13 year old son and I will be taking our first cruise on Oasis in April. We are sooooo enjoying your posts. Most nights we sit together at the computer and read what you've posted that day. The pictures of the food, menus, and Compass are amazingly helpful. And, we can't WAIT to go!:D
