We are getting married on the beach in Nassau, is there anyone else getting married on the beach out of the U.S ? I really want an arch for the ceremony, Guess what they are charging us for one lol 400$ I could not believe it lol oh well I guess it is worth it, I really hope we are treated well for the amount of money we are forking over to Carnival and the event there coordinator.

Pinkpumpkin - A bride I know was asked to pay a similar fee for an Arch at NOW Jade Resort in Cancun Mexico but her price tag included the flowers on it. The Resort did offer it to her for free without any flowers but she wanted the flowers, so she ended up paying. I must admit it looks beautiful in photos and I'm sure your one will too.

Hey there...I was on the Halloween Cruise out of Galveston on the conquest in 2010, going to the same ports.

Taking the same cruise for the wedding, but on a much bigger BOAT!!

JulieRose... Have you considered asking another friend and offering to pay 1/2 of cruise fare to make it affordable for them to attend? Or even better asking your Mother to be your MOH... I would give anything in the world to have my Mother standing next to me.. she will be, but in spirit only.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can afford to pay for half of someone elses cruise not to mention that if I did, wouldn't it be unfair to not offer the same to the BM? At first, I was really angry at her, not for backing out but for the heartless way she did it. Now I'm not too worried about it. We're going to have the BM escort my mother to her seat directly before my father and I enter. Also, he will still hold the rings for us and give a toast at the reception. Basically, he'll still do everything he would have done before except actually stand during the ceremony.

 

Believe me, it really is better this way. She wasn't acting like a very good moh anyway. She second guessed every single decision I made and when I told her she could choose her own dress, she said "oh good. I'll work on that in february. I don't have time for all those dress fittings anyway." Seriously?! February? The wedding is in April. And you don't have time for dress fittings? I mean, wth? Aren't you supposed to come to those not only to have your own gown fitted but also help the bride in and out of hers? That's just the tip of the iceberg, really. I really think it worked out how it was supposed to.

Aww Julie I think you have found the BEST solution... and your day will be perfect. I do think you are much better without that MOH. Afterall, they are supposed to help relieve and divert the stress not create it.;)

 

 

Larry and I will be the only ones standing too. He won't have a BM but his father will sign as his witness... our wedding party will be our children and grandchildren, The girls (28, 23, 13) will walk Our 2 grandchildren then my son 22 will escort me. they will all be seated somewhere in front. Our rings will be in a long stem silver rose ringholder stuck in the center of our youngest daughters bouquet. :)

Mine's June 8 on Norwegian Dawn. Wedding in port in Boston before leaving for Bermuda. Looking at ~20-25 people total, most sailing and a few joining just for the wedding (which is one of several reasons we're doing it in Boston).

:D Im not doing luggage tags, but it is a really cute idea. We made matching “Team bride” and “Team groom” shirts for everyone in the wedding. And I am thinking about doing some other things but I done know what yet.

I got my plastic holders off of ebay. Just search ID holders & a whole bunch should come up. I got the kind that zipped, just to make sure the card didn't fall out. The cards fit perfectly in them!
