NAUdebo Posted September 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2011 My DW and I leave on the Valor out of Miami in a little over a week. We're both baseball fans - I'm from Phoenix and cheer for the Diamondbacks, and she's from Milwaukee and is a Brewers fan. Turns out our teams are playing each other in the first round, and the winner will be decided on the Friday before our cruise. BUT, that means one of us will want to be watching our team in the next round during our trip. All of the games in the National League Championship Series are on TBS. Can we expect to get TBS on the Valor, if not in our cabin, at least in the sports bar on board?
bguppies Posted September 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2011 Did not have TBS on the Legend last week. Still the same old TNTLA (Latin). Maybe the Valor has the "fleetwide" channels John Heald advertises. But I would not hold my breath. Bill
davy jones Posted September 30, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2011 If it is not on the cabin TV, it may be shown in the sports bar.
*Mach* Posted September 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2011 There was a question/post about this last week. A few days back it was brought up again so I asked a friend at Carnival about the TV stations available and her's her response... Hi Mach, Hope all is well. These are the channels that we subscribe to; we usually get them but not always. Depending on the Satellite and location of the ship, the following network channels are received: · CBS / NBC / ABC / FOX · CNN Domestic / CNN International / CNN En Espanol · TCM (Turner Classic Movies) · Boomerang (cartoons) / Cartoon Network · TNT Latin America · ESPN / ESPN 2 Latin America – both shown in the Sports Bars only; not broadcast in staterooms They could have picked up additional stations if they happened to be in a position to receive them from that satellite but it’s not something they will receive all of the time. Mischelle Beattie Coccera No TBS listed... sorry...

There was no Turner Classic Movies or CBS feed....(bartender in the Sports Bar told us they haven't had a CBS feed in quite awhile) Other than that, looks right on the money. NAUdebo Posted September 30, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted September 30, 2011 Thanks, Mach. Who knows, we may get lucky, or it might be on the international version of ESPN. It's certainly not going to ruin our cruise - we're not that obsessive!
