Upcoming Carnival VIP Casino cruises....?

What is a VIP cruise? Thanks.

About 4-6 times a year the casino division of Carnival hosts a VIP casino cruise and sends out offers to those who play quite a bit in the casino. It's based on your past play whether you get an invitation or not.

The VIP cruise will be offered at a reduced rate, they'll be some casino cash involved and small gifts and treats throughout the cruise. You'd also automatically receive drink cards for use while playing in the casino. If you play alot in the casino on every cruise it's worth it to call the Carnival Player's Club and ask how to get an invite to one of these. We've been on 3 already and they're great!

I just got the offer for the Dream 12/3 and for the Valor Jan 21st, 2012. Mail came too late for me to call today so I'm calling tomorrow. We also got an offer last week from MGM Casinos for a free balcony cabin on the Dream for 11/12 which just happens to be the same day we come back from the Liberty. Waiting for them to call on that one too. ;)

We got our offer for the Valor today. Called and the prices are pretty high for this one but I love Aruba so we're going!

I also got an email today offering us a free suite on the Splendor Oct 23rd but since we already have a cruise booked for Nov 12th it would just be too hard to swing it....wish we could!

DW just got a offer on the Valor Jan 21 discounted eastern cruise with 400 big ones,FREE drinks in casino, cocktail party, gift, tournaments but NO PRICE. Anyone know for sure what the discount includes ? Either way we can't make it. We're just getting off the Miracle New Years' Eve cruise a couple weeks earlier. We're planning a cruise in April on the Liberty but may change if the offer gets repeated.

thanks

We booked it yesterday but there were no insides or oceanviews left....only 8A balconies. We were only planning to get an oceanview as this was a more expensive cruise but oh, well...... bTW, had to pay the whole $2300 upfront

Thank you. Sounds fun but I doubt if I play enough to get invited. Do you know about how much you need to play to get an invite?

I'm not sure but probably the player's club could tell you if you called....:)

You probably know this already, but Casinos at Sea who work on NCL cruises, do this for every cruise. We were on a week long and signed up for the CAS card, so we were rated. I came home and we were comped a balcony for our next cruise, and get the drink card and the treats. Pretty good deal. My last CCL in March, the pit boss picked up 5 or 6 drinks, but this is way better.

Forgot to say, most people get a 17% reduction if they don't play much, but still get the drink card.

We are not high rollers, I bet $10 per hand on LIR and 3 card poker, and my friends bet $5. We spend a lot of time there, though :) now we spend a lot of time there with free drinks :)

I've booked a couple NCL cruises thru CAS but they still charge you port fees and taxes. When Carnival comped us a suite it cost us absolutely nothing. We also received drink cards and gifts in the cabin.

That sounds great! Hey as long as your schedules match up, that sounds really good. Yes, we paid the port charges and taxes. We only expected the 17% discount, so were pleasantly surprised to be offered a balcony. The posts above mentioned CCL offered a discount, but again I guess it depends on your play. I enjoy my casino time, so I'm going to go anyway. Any discounts/comps are always welcome, though :)

Yup, I plan to gamble anyway so it's great getting comped cabins and casino cash :)

Got my offer for the January Valor cruise. Last time it was $400 cash (Miracle) this time it's up to $550.

I had to decline the free suite on the Splendor and the discounted Dream cruise and it looks like I'm going to pass on this one as well.

Even with the discount, it's too rich for me for a Carnival cruise and January is so iffy weather wise here, that I don't really want to risk travelling (cause I'd have to leave a couple of days early and be prepared to be home a couple of days later in case of snow).

Good luck for those who are booked (Popsec!). Have a great cruise.
