Cruising with a friend next week on the Conquest. We are new to Carnival, only cruised on RCCL.

Favorite venues? Good piano bar, guitar?

How are the movies at the seaside theater?

Do they provide you with extra pillows in your stateroom? refrigerator?

Is there a place on the Promenade to get free coffee, water, and snacks?

Any special things we must do?

Really getting excited! thanks for any info!!

The Conquest is a lovely ship... my favorite. Her central theme is Impressionist Artists so expect to see a great deal of art adorning the ship.

My favorite locations? Wow... tough to say. I don't gamble a ton but lots of folks really enjoy the casino. The Lido Deck is always a huge attraction. The Degas Lounge, Promenade Deck aft, houses the Punchliner Comedy Club... a big favorite!!! I used to really enjoy Alfred's... the former cigar bar but now it's non-smoking (if you can fathom that...) so I had to scratch that one off my list.

The lobby is generally fun. Great for people watching and a quick cocktail or a beer.

The piano bar, Blues, is a major attraction. It's meant for the night... decorated in dark colors and a bit on the small side but great fun.

The movies are rather recent. The earliest showing is family oriented with the later ones being a bit more targeted at an adult audience. They will also show some sporting events and the occasional concert.

Coffee and such is available on the Lido Deck. The Promenade hosts a specialty coffee shop (extra cost...) and the sushi bar (free...) in the mid afternoon.

You've got to try dinner at The Point... the ship's steakhouse. It's $30/person and a bargain at that!!!

Here's hoping you enjoy that ship half as much as I do... if you do you'll love her!

:)

We have always requested more pillows with no problem :).

I love the Conquest, the casino and the comedy club. I also second the eating dinner at The Pointe, wonderful food/service and worth way more than the $30 pp.
