Specialty restaurants

My husband and I along with another couple will be on the POA in less than a month. We are both celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary. We can only do one specialty restaurant. What are some of the favorites. Also are there any washing machines on board.

Unfortunately there is no public laundry on the POA. They do offer a laundry service.

Our favorite restaurant is Tepenyaki. It had what we thought to be wonderful food and the entertainment factor was great.

Just got of off POA and ate at Jefferson Bistro 3 times! EXCELLENT! The Teppanaki is good too.

I don't have a favorite because we only ate at Jefferson's Bistro but we loved it! I highly recommend it, especially for a special occassion. The food and service were the best we had all week on POA.

We did the sushi bar twice. It was phenomenal, and well worth the price. Be warned, however, the chefs seem to be trying to make the customers burst. :D

NCL, has a $25 bag special which can hold a lot of clothes. I've used it many times, including twice again, last week. Never a problem with any of my clothes coming back. :)

 

I too greatly enjoyed the Jefferson Bistro.

We ate at many of the specialty restaurants on POA except the asian restaurant. We were a group of 6, and all of us thought Jefferson's Bistro was the best one. The italian restaurant was our least favorite. It was still good, just not as good as the others. I guess it would depend on the type of food you prefer. If you do choose Jefferson's, then I would suggest having the escargot appetizer (delicious!!). You are allowed to order multiple appetizers and desserts but only one entree.

This brings up a good point. Jefferson's Bistro is $20/person. However, they also have 4 entrees on the menu that cost an additional $10. If you want the Lobster Special on Kona night, it's an additional $20. So my meal was $40 and DH's was $30. I wasn't thrilled about this. It's another example of how NCL will "nickel & dime" you.

IIRC the sushi bar was a steal at $15 each. (Plus tips for the excellent sushi chefs, of course).
