Rileyz Posted October 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2011 Has anyone ever redeemed their NCL Mastercard world points for slot play? I believe it is $100 slot play for 5,000 pts. Seems like a good deal. How is this done? Is the coupon sent ahead of time or in your cabin embarkation day? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks! ruarmed2 Posted October 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2011 We used it a few cruises ago and I forget how it was issued but do remember it was flawless. Last trip we used slotplaycoupons and that was easy as well.
Lyman713 Posted October 4, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2011 I've done this a couple of times. There is a limit of one per person. You get the certificates in your cabin the first day and bring it over to the casino cashier to get credit on your CAS card. Pretty easy and it is a good deal! I don't have quite enough for $100 obc, I only have like 8400 pts so I figured this was a round about way of getting $100. I know I have to play it all and that's fine, just hope I win! I know I have to play it all and that's fine, just hope I win! Lol The first time I tried to redeem for slot play, something messed up between NCL and the bank; although the points left our account, we did not get the slot play paperwork in our cabin. Repeated visits to the casino brought only frustration. We were able to get our points back when we returned home. The second time we tried, everything worked fine. The paperwork was in our cabin. We went to the casino, registered for Casinos at Sea, and got a card loaded with $100 worth of slot play. Perfect. You may wish to be careful how you pull the credits off the slot play card. When you sit down at a machine, you can remove as many credits as you wish; we only remove a limited number at a time because once you take them off, you have to play them on that machine right then. you cannot put them back on the card. for example, we might sit at a $1 machine, take $20 credit from the card, and push the single play button 20 times. At that point, we can cash out all the remaining credits ("winnings") on the machine for cash. if we like that machine and want to play more, we pull some more credits off the card. If we are tired of playing or dislike the machine, we move on with our credit slip. On the other hand, if you sit down at that $1 slot and take the entire $100 credit off the card, you need to single play 100 times (or double 50 times or triple 34 times, etc) before you can cash out.
