souxiequzy Posted October 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2011 I think this cabin has a sofa bed and twin bed, and portholes...is the sofa bed comfortable?
gloryeyes Posted October 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2011 Category IA Upper / Lower Interior Staterooms include one upper and one lower twin bed, carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television. (160 sq.ft.) Looks like it is an upper and lower -no sofa bed. Have a wonderful cruise. I will be on Glory in Feb.
tak81288 Posted October 5, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2011 The sofa beds are comfortable and aren't too different from sleeping on a twin. However, I am also seeing that that specific room # is an upper and lower bed configuration.
Colorado Kat Posted October 5, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2011 The sofa beds are not pull-out sofa beds. They are more of a flat/comfortable surface. They pull the back bolsters off to give you space. Then they make it up as a regular bed. My daughter prefers these to the actual beds.
Normal 1 Posted October 5, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2011 Click on this link and scroll down to post #5 for a picture of this room: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=846746 The picture is as of 2008 but I would assume it is the same today. Love the 1As. Some are deceiving and have 2 beds that DO make into a king. Such as 7345 on Glory.... I have pictures posted in cruiselinerooms. This cabin is a bit wider than regular insides. Loved this cabin!!

Especially with 1As. good learning lesson for people who trust what is in print. The sofa bed is a little firmer than a regular twin but not bad OP. firefly333 Posted October 5, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 5, 2011 I double checked. Has a twin bed and and upper. There is a sofa and table too. the picture in post #5 has a link to what the cabin actually looks like. Its a sofa bed and a twin. Many of the 1A descriptions on carnival are incorrect. there used to be uppers .. and they are still there, but the 2nd bed was changed on conquest class. I dont know if the cabin steward will make up the upper or not .. but Iv been in several of these, and the upper just stays up there. Not used. PS I see you show it as 160 s.f.. just noticed this .. it is LARGER than a regular inside, not smaller. .. this is incorrect info for sure. It is closer to the 220 s.f. OV size if you have been in this cabin before.
