Okay guys, I'm down to two hotels to choose from. JW Marriott Marquis Miami Hotel or the Holiday Inn port of Miami. I know their in different classes but I'm thinking of price and if it's worth it, is it worth paying more to stay at a better hotel.

Marriott Marquis is $190 night

Holiday Inn $140 night.

Just staying for one night jan 7-8th (peek time in miami)

These rates are from Lastminutetravel.com

My question is do you guys think its worth $50 more for the Marriott five star hotel since on their sites its $400 a night and on holiday inn site their retail price is only $180.

Thanks

Super deal for the JW Marriott in January! If and only if you have time to enjoy the special amenities that the JW Marriott offers over the Holiday Inn, then go for the Marriott. However, if you are just looking for a decent place to sleep for the night pre-post cruise, and do not plan on spending much time in the hotel, then the Holiday Inn should be fine.

On LMT for 1/7 there is a 5* hotel for $157. It is the JW Marriott. I'd take that one for the price over the Holiday Inn.

Would go for the JW if that rate! But again, make sure you are there long enough to spend time in the hotel. IF you'll be out and about and just looking for a bed, then I wouldn't book the $190 hotel.

Holiday Inn is an old 3 star hotel. No comparison to the other two.

There are 2 Marriott hotels.

$157 is the JW Marriott

$190 is the Marriott Marquis

I would book the $157 rate any day over the Holiday Inn.

Actually there also is the Marriott Biscayne Bay in that area.

Yea i saw the $157 but I'm going to 4 people need two beds and the Marquis is for 4 people. That's what lastminutetravel said when I called them.

The Marriott Marquis is much nicer. It's a full service hotel and only around 18 months old.

I would go with the Marquis over the Holiday Inn.

I would also price it on their web site just to see if they have any promotional rates.
