Cocoa Beach Hotel and Time to return car rental

We are cruising on the Dream in February 2012 and are looking to stay one night pre-cruise in a Cocoa Beach hotel. We will be renting a car to drive from MCO to Cocoa Beach. Anyone have an experience with the Comfort Inn?

Is there a good time to beat the morning rush? We must return our car to Thrifty Car Rentals and take their shuttle to the port. Any idea how long it will take to return car and get to the port with the busy traffic that morning? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Melanie

Should not take that long to return the car, but it depends on how many other cars are returned at the same time you return yours. As for the shuttle, all the rental companys are located within a 15 minute drive of the port. Traffic should not be a factor.
