pdbcruisers Posted October 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2011 We are sailing on the Navigator in May of 2012 and were thinking of adding a cruise tour. Has anybody done the tour before the Eastern Mediterranean? Any thoughts. Did you like it? Was it worth the money? Does the cabin you have booked on the cruise affect the rooms at the hotel? Thanks in advance and any other info/opinions would be appreciated.
goofy cruisers Posted October 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2011 What's the itinerary? We're doing the Mediterranean on the Serenade in May of 2012 and my friends and I are planning to go on local trains. Much cheaper.

You can't go wrong with the greek Isles and Athens, though big and crowded, is a must see. You'll have a great time!
wantocruisemore Posted October 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2011 We did the Navigator's 7nt Eastern Med this past summer. I think they are keeping the same itinerary and leaving out of Civitavecchia. Our ports were Messina, Athens, Kusadasi and Chania. We actually checked into their pre-cruise Rome stays. The prices are really high and you can get it much cheaper by doing a little research and arranging yourself. The same goes for the tours during the cruise. There are lots of threads on Rome hotels etc. and the tours.
