What size tables(#of people) in MDR? Is there music available and what type in cabins?

There are 2, 4, 6, 8 rectangular tables and 10, 12 & 14 round tables.

 

Depends on the ship.

 

There is music flowing thru the TV. No idea what kind. No heavy metal though.

 

There is no radio in the cabin.

They have a few music channels on the tv. When we were on the victory they had radios on the wall above the beds in the balcony cabins.....not sure if they still have them......

The MDR has a variety of seating arrangements depending on ship type. If you select Your Time Dining you can request a table size/configuration but you may have to wait if you are picky and wanting a popular size. We love traditional dining times and have been sat at large tables with "strangers" that have become some of our closest friends. We've cruised with former table mates again at least once a year for the past 3 years, they do a good job (for the most part) of pairing people up with similar ages/situations, so don't be afraid!

 

Music on the TV is on the ship-cam channels and other ship info channels. I would call it "light rock" or "easy listening" for the most part. We usually pack a small set of speakers to hook up to our iPods so we can have our own less sleepy sounding tunes (and it doubles as our alarm clock.) I have one set of speakers that folds down to about the size of a double deck of cards, so it is easily packed.
