I bidded for a 3* hotel in miami on priceline and got the Sheraton Biscayne for $65, yesterday. I had read on the boards that they would be tearing the hotel down soon. I called yesterday to confirm it and I was told that they would be tearing it down June 25th.

A few friends and I just stayed @ the Sheraton Biscayne Bay Hotel (April 15-18, 2005)...the hotel is beautiful and well kept. The hotel just recently received a 14 million dollar face lift and it shows. I stayed @ the Sheraton back in November, 2003 and it is in much better shape since my first stay there. The rooms & hallways have new carpet (which were being cleaned on Saturday night). The rooms & hallways have been recently painted too. The rooms have new bed comfortors, pillows, etc. It's a shame this hotel is slated to close soon...we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hate to see it close.

P.S. The staff we encountered were very friendly and accomodating!!!
