dn6482 Posted October 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Hello I will be cruising in January with my 11 month old and 4 year old. I recall the last cruise I went too, in Cabos they do not allow you to take any food off the ship. They threw away all my snacks and water bottles. As you can see my baby will still be on the bottle. Do you know if they will throw away the babies milk or formula), baby snacks, and kids’ juice? He will most likely be on milk. I’m planning store the milk in a thermo to keep it cool. I really don’t want to buy milk or snacks in Cabos. Thanks for your help!
SadieN Posted October 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2011 Last March in Cabo San Lucas they were throwing out fruit and 'homemade' stuff. Anything prepackaged was let through. If you are going to bring milk off the ship keep it in the original packaging til onshore. Be prepared if the throw it out. Get Cherrio boxes from the ship at breakfast. Dry formula is easiest. Bottled water is cheaper onshore than onboard. If you have the time go to a supermarket in Mexico. We always find cheap souvenirs and good liquor prices in the markets. The milk is pasteurized. Our DDs have been going to Mexico since they were 6 weeks old and never had a problem drinking the milk or eating when they got older. Also more answers are on your other thread :) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1503605
