Let's Lobby the Car Rental Agencies To Provide One Way Rentals to Galveston

Like several other people who have posted here, I am would love to do a one-way car rental from Houston Hobby to the cruise port. I understand from some old posts here that Enterprise used to allow one-way rentals but doesn't any more.

 

I just sent emails to both Enterprise and Hertz (which has car rental counters at several hotels) suggesting that they are missing a lot of business on Galveston by not allowing one-way rentals.

I would think that for Galveston to develop further, a car rental agency that takes Sunday drop offs would be beneficial.

With so many more cruises now in Galveston - both on Saturday and Sunday - No car rentals on the weekends is missing a big marker...We arrive Saturday at 1pm - too late to rent a car in Galveston - then closed on Sunday. CRAZY!
