dianef Posted October 25, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2011 Has anyone ever had a problem after booking two people in a cabin, one a past=passenger and the other not,to get the past passenger rate and then switch to the right spouse upon boarding ship? There is a much better rate for past passengers and since there are friends who are not,was thinking of booking one of each in the cabin and switching.Do they have to take new pictures when you switch and will they give you the right card to get into the cabin? srphnx Posted October 25, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2011 You can't switch cabins officially. You would have to swap cards which would be complicated for purchases and for debarking and returning to ship. Perhaps a call to a better travel agent who can cut the cost difference down a bit. It is a simple matter and taken care of in minutes at the Purser's office. And yes, people book this way all the time, it is even suggested by Princess CSR's if you book direct. fishywood Posted October 25, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2011 Unless the policy has changed, a Captains Circle member can book two cabins at the promotional rate for past passengers even if everyone else in the group is a first timer. Just split the billing when you book.
Theta_Potata Posted October 25, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2011 My family did it last year. My husband, daughter and I were past Princess cruisers but my parents were not. We went to the Purser's Office and they took care of it right away. No questions, no problems, easy peasy! :D
