Ocho Rios Taxi?

uncalculated

Recommended Posts

There were a number of cabs waiting outside the port area when the ship docked. Some of them looked iffy tho.

Last time we were in Ocho we took a van to the all-inclusive. Just wondering if there are personal cabs? And where do you find them? It took too long last time as other passengers were dropped off.

There are lots of cabs right outside the pier.

I'm not big on taking a cab in Jamaica but they are there. Be sure to negotiate the fare up front for a two way cab ride.

Do you pay in advance for the return trip? How do you know the cab will come back for you?

Lenny, if you would like to have a two way trip I would negotiate a price for that and tell them you will pay them at the end of the trip and they will wait for you.

I had a great experience with the taxis in Ocho Rios. Our driver took 6 of us for $6pp to Dunn's Falls. He stopped at a place on the way to get us water shoes to rent for cheaper, he was there to pick us up exactly when he said he would be, he took us to a local place with great food for some jerk chicken. He even helped negotiatie a lower price on a ring my friend wanted to buy. I may be the exception, but my taxi experience was great!
