Ship to shore and on to airport in FLL

To you seasoned SB travelers. I'm sure that this has been answered before but for some reason I can't find it. We are traveling on the Odyssey and arrive in Port Everglades on December 20. Approximately how long does it take to get from the ship, claim our bags, go through customs, clear security, obtain and take a taxi to the airport, check our bags and get to a gate? As you can see, I'm a bit of a nervous Nelly.

A good rule of thumb in Ft Lauderdale, don't book flights before noon. Coming across the ocean the ship can be late ~delayed traffic driving to the airport ~I've seen the Ft Laud airport looking like a 'zoo' ~especially in Dec.

To be safe make flight reservations after 12 pm.

I agree. I always recommend booking a flight 12:00 Noon or later when arriving to this port. This provides sufficient time for the unexpected plus you don't have to spend part of your cruise stressing over whether or not you make your flight.

Ditto,although the airport is very close to the Port. Again, the timing can be upset by the number of ships disembarking on the same day.

There will be three ships in besides the Odyssey not that bad as Sat and Sun are the worst as the Oasis and the Allure are there
