englander Posted October 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Are there any cruises themed for WWII history like Normandy or the Pacific that go to ports with a WWII historical interest?
Kilnwood Posted October 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Back in 2004 I was aboard the Pacific Princess from Honolulu to Osaka for a 24-night "60th Anniversary Commemorative Cruise of the Great Pacific Battlefields," and it was FABULOUS!!! Don't know if Princess is offering anything similar were you to check their current offerings, but it may be worth a try. If I find anything else that may be of interest to you as I check out various cruises, I'll post back here.
englander Posted October 28, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Thanks. We have been to Normandie a couple times while docked at LeHavre; and also one time we spent several days on a trip there. Still find more to see and experience every time we go...and we love it! I wish there was another itinerary like the one Princess did. I will be looking too! That one probably had a great response.
