New to Seabourn:

Like Regent Seabourn shows our boarding time as 2pm.

However Regent actually welcomes us at about noon for lunch. Hope you can tell us your Seabourn boarding experience. We will be boarding in Ft Lauderdale

If your documents schedule boarding time is 2 o'clock I wouldn't arrive before 1:45 pm. Those arriving too early will wait in the Port Everglades terminal while the Staff/Crew prepare for the new passengers to embark.

Happy Sailing

Yes, Martha's suggestion may be the "new' way to go. If you look at some of the other recent threads that deal with this subject you will see that this is an issue that is very much catch as can now on Seabourn. There was a time when trips you could board before one and order lunch at the Sky Bar. Now it seems they might make you wait until the posted boarding time and let you snack on a lite lunch( cookies and sandwiches) and champagne in the lounge while waiting for you security cards. It may be up to the hotel manager, how full the ship was and where they dock as to whether you can baord earleir and enjoy a regular lunch. Who knows! One thing for sure if they tell you boarding is 2PM you may board at 2PM. It really does seem to be a bit of a crapshoot now. Also remember that they usually serve tea early on embarkation day.

Just returned from 7 days on the Quest and was pleased that we were welcomed onboard prior to the stated time of 2pm and taken to the Colonade for lunch. Suites were ready as soon as we had finished lunch.

Great improvement to the previous boardings that we have had.

This is great news to hear that perhaps they are now allowing paxs onboard earlier than the published 2:00pm time or perhaps it's only on the larger ships because they have more crew/staff?
