fatboydave666 Posted October 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2011 Plan on spending the day on a beach drinking a few beers. Any suggestions for a place to hang out that will not break the bank?

drew sailbum Posted October 31, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2011 LOL! Cayman is not know for cheap alcohol when you are buying for on-island consumption. There is a heavy import duty applied. A cheap beer is probably about US$4.50 or so. If you are buying duty free then the price is substantially lower but your purchases are delivered directly to your ship for the ship to distribute later at the end of the cruise. nw2this Posted November 1, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2011 Can you just go into a store to purchase beer/wine/spirits? If so, is that also pricey?

Julienatul Posted November 3, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 3, 2011 Not cheap but there is a little restaurant on the water called Paradise that has beer. caybrew and a few others. I believe its around $5-$6 a beer the last time we were there.
