deltatango Posted November 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2011 I have just read/review that if you take evening/suit bags you will have to take them on board yourself, as the porters say they will not go in the scanners because of the hangers ??? we are out on the IOTS 11-11-11 is this correct. dmdicato Posted November 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2011 We've always sent out garment bags through with the luggage and never experienced any problems.

Not my experience. My DH usually carries his tux so it doesn't get messed up but our last cruise (at the end of August) we sent it thru with checked luggage. It arrived at our cabin with no problem. deltatango Posted November 2, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted November 2, 2011 Do you think it was the Porters at Southampton being picky, what is the RCI rules over this, I know in the US that RCI is very relaxed on taking bottle water and Soda on board, but in the UK they are very strict about banning it according to the their rules. Cigar King Posted November 2, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 2, 2011 If you are concerned, replace the metal hangers with plastic ones. Enjoy your cruise.
