cc waddles Posted November 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2011 Hi, Just wondering if anyone has been on the most upper deck to cruise on and what was it like vs being on a lower deck. We have the spa deck on victory next year. Just wondering your thoughts on this? thx

Lots of movement. :)
bbwex Posted November 7, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2011 This is purely a matter of personal preference. I enjoy a higher deck, others prefer being on a lower deck. You are closer to some action, others are closer to other activities and locations. Some people prefer to have a cabin amidships to lessen an motion from pitching (bow and stern going up and down), and you are closer to the bow, so you will feel this a bit more. Others prefer to stay lower to lessen rolling (side-to-side motion), and this is greater the higher you go (also the lower you go, though you cannot get as low as you can go up higher). The view is not much different, though you can see further from higher up. We enjoy feeling some motion, so for us this would not be a problem at all. You will have to go down a few decks to have interior walk-through access to the aft portion of the ship, but you can simply use the forward elevators or stairs to go to the deck you want and then go where you want on that deck. I generally pick the cabin I want, and a little exercise if never an issue for us. You are going to have a quick walk to the open air decks. cb at sea Posted November 7, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2011 We always book the top deck...closer to the pool!
serene56 Posted November 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2011 it puts you closer to the food/pools. Travel for entertainment on the lower decks. the only difference in cabin is the "location' the higher you go the more you pay. the more you pay the more you sway. BenjiRodney Posted December 2, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 2, 2011 We had Panorama Deck, just one down from Spa deck and loved it, so close to the pools, hot tubs, buffets etc. We booked it again for next year.

Colorado Kat Posted December 20, 2011 #8 Share Posted December 20, 2011 We had the spa deck on Carnival Liberty last year. Very nice. Good views, as we had floor to ceiling windows.
jdvmd Posted December 20, 2011 #9 Share Posted December 20, 2011 I like having a higher floor just because you are close to the pools, buffet etc. That said, the times we have had a cabin in a high location, we did feel a lot more movement.
