Dolphin swim

When a dolphin encounter says now jewelry, are hair berets banned too? I assume they're worried about jewelry coming off and dolphins swallowing them or something.

We did the dolphin experience in Freeport. Took off all jewelry, but noticed that most others did not, and nothing was said to them. Maybe the swim is different?

In Cozumel we were told it would frighten the dolphins. Had to take glasses off too and for someone who does not see well without them, I wondered if it was the dolphin I kissed or the trainer.
