NEWBIE to Carnival

Have cruised before, but first time on Carnival.

Do they mail your luggage tags, or have to print them out?

Is there self service laundry service on the Valor?

 

We did book with our TA if this makes a difference with our documents.

 

Have sailed many times on NCL, we are getting off a cruise and getting on the Valor for 6 nights in Jan. very excited. Any advice or suggestions appreciated. we have a balcony to be assigned, hopefully Carnival will be nice to us.

You will need to sign in to CCL site click on manage my cruise fill out fun pass and then when you are ready just print out our documents and luggage tags.

 

Name: Launderettes Basically around the corner from midship elevators starboard side except Deck 9 where they are portside.

Location: Riviera Deck 1 - midship / across from 1357 and 1359

Main Deck 2 - midship / across from 2365 and 2367

Upper Deck 6 - midship / across from 6385 and 6387

Empress Deck 7 - midship / across from 7337 and 7339

Verandah Deck 8 - midship / across from 8349 and 8351

Lido Deck 9 - midship / across from 9268 and 9270

Hours: hours posted on the door to the Laundry

Function: Self-Service Launderette

2 or 3 washers

2 or 3 dryers

1 iron and ironing board

Vending machines dispense small boxes of detergent and water softener

These are great and will make switching luggage tags between cruises easy.

One more question (at least for now) does the Promenade Deck go all around the Ship (outdoors) for morning brisk walks? Or is a Deck designated for walking/jogging? Need to try to burn off all those delicious calories.

Sorry no it does not.

 

There is a jogging/walking track Decl 11 Aft .... 10 laps =1mile

I'll give you a heads up on the laundry. The machines require quarters, which you can get from the desk in the Casino. If I recall correctly, the price was $3.00 per load for washers, and maybe the same for dryers. Bring your own travel packages of soap to spare the expense of buying it from the machine in the laundry room. The number of machines is limited and it seems more crowded on "dress-up-slightly-nicer-than-normal-night" or whatever the politically correct term for that is nowadays.
