reggielew Posted November 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2011 Hi! Is the table for Texas Hold-um ever open in the morning on days at sea? Are there ever tournements held in the morning during sea days? How many poker tables are on the Allure? Thanks for any information you can give me. Rare KKB Posted November 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2011 (I am cruising Allure Dec. 12 for the first time; since it is nearly twice as large as Mariner or Grand Princess, my comments could be moot) Cruise ships have electronic poker tables so they are ALWAYS open (as long as the casino is), so YES, they are available to play in mornings. BUT rarely are their enough players interested at that time. On the Mariner last year, we RARELY had enough players to get a cash game going at all; on the Grand every evening there was a cash game going on between maybe 8 & 12. Tournaments are typically afternoons only. (of course all of this will be moot for Dec. 12 trip as they have a huge tournament so everything will be different)
Bluegirl Posted November 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2011 Hey KKB, are you also in the tournament? My husband qualified and will be on that sailing too.
Rare KKB Posted November 11, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2011 I am expecting a considerably more active poker scene on this cruise!
