Corkle Posted April 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2005 We'll be sailing on the Freedom Dec. 17 - 24, 2006. I saw some pictures of the Mariner at Christmas and the midnight buffet featured a lot of Christmas things. I'm wondering how early they decorate the ships with garland and Christmas trees and if they might have the Christmas carvings and such on our cruise since it ends before Christmas. Thanks!!! medolee Posted April 6, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2005 Most decorate the day after Thanksgiving. When we got onto the ship last year Dec 4, it was already done. Was beautiful too I might add!!
jwlane Posted April 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2005 Contract decorators came onboard Rhapsody while she was in port the Sunday after Thanksgiving and did the decorating. Quick turn around!
JerseyGirl23 Posted April 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2005 Looking forward to seeing the ship decorated this Holiday season! :D
Corkle Posted April 7, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted April 7, 2005 Does the Midnight Buffet usually feature holiday items during the whole month of December? I've seen pictures of Christmas Tree ice carvings and Sugar/Shortening Santas and such.
medolee Posted April 7, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2005 I love cruising in December. I also have been delighted to cruise any month between June and November. My favorite months would be somewhere between January and May. :)
Ms Jo UK Posted April 7, 2005 #7 Share Posted April 7, 2005 I cruised on Explorer Nov 28 04 and when we got on board there were no decorations but during the week they gradually decorated the ship with the huge tree in the dining room being completed during our las day of the cruise so everything was ready for the next boarding. cme Posted April 7, 2005 #8 Share Posted April 7, 2005 I was hoping that they would have the decorations up when I sail on the Mariner. It sounds like they may decorate during the first week of our cruise and definetly have them up for the Dec. 4th cruise. Carrie:p
