Taxi to Gatun Locks from Colon

How much can we expect to pay a taxi to drive us from the port to the locks? Debating if we should do a tour or just go privately. DH is an Engineer and I know he will want to spend a long time there.

I have heard you can hire a cab from anywhere from $15-30/hr. Might be a little difficult to take a cab to the Locks and then try and another to return to Colon. I see you are in Colombia, I'm sure you have been exposed to art of negotiation;):D!
