Adding cash to S&S account at kiosk

We will be cruising out of Miami and was wondering how you go about adding cash to your sail and sign account at the self service kiosk? Anyone know how this is done? Thanks

I'd just check in and go to the pursers desk in person to do it.

That is an option I was trying to avoid because the only line longer than the buffet is the one for the pursers desk.

I guess its because I board early, but I board, eat lunch in the buffet and wander down to the purser's desk and almost never have to wait, more people to wait on you than there are people to wait on.

 

I do it to get a hole punched in my card every cruise right after lunch. Im doing half a dozen Carnival cruises a year and have yet to run into this line at the purser's desk the day I board. Must be just the ships you board.

Hole punched in your card? Is this for your lanyard? Last yr on the ecstasy we went to the casino to get a lanyard and they wouldnt give us one. They said something about havin to play x amount of games or earn x amount of pts. Dunno really bc we dont do the casino. Is that where you got the card punched? I can get my own lanyards i guess.

if your sign and sail card is not backed by a credit card you have the firts 24 hours to place cash.

I would NOT go to the pursers desk when your first board. I wait til after dinner times or go early the next morning before breakfast.

an easier better way is to call bon voyage and have it placed for you . Doing it over the phone is easy.

I've done this before my past 2 cruises. Very easy and your S&S card is all set and then go to the pursers desk throughout your cruise as needed. Its great to have that first DOD during lunch when you board.:D

I've been on Ecstasy Twice(and many other ships) & Never had to play in the casino to get hole punch & lanyard....They just Did It...No questions, No qualms.

 

You can also get hole punch @ guest services, but I don't think they have the lanyards.

This is a new option at POM with the check-in Kiosks.

 

I am not sure exactly how it is done because we used our CC.

 

I think there is a slot similar to an ATM where you insert the money and it gets recorded and transferred to your S&S account.

 

However, there are CCL Reps right there that will talk you through the process.

We always set up s&s with cash - it's so easy. Don't go to Pursers and wait in line. At the kiosk - it's like a self pay register at the grocery store- it'll ask you if you are using credit, debit or cash. Select cash. and then (I can't remember if it ask you for an amount or not) but you just stick the bills in the self feed slot. You can add as much as you want or as little as $20. But if you only add a small amount, you will have to go to pursers within 24 hours to add enough to cover gratuities, unless you prepaid them. But after you add the initial cash at the kiosk, you can go to pursers to add additional cash anytime you need to.
